Essay Topic: Women Empowerment
India is a male chauvinistic nation, where women are suppressed by the society in the name of traditional beliefs and some other menial and besieging reasons from ancient time and then, there comes a word i.e. Women Empowerment of which we have been used to hearing or reading in our daily life, but nobody cares enough to go through a glimpse of the root causes behind it. Women empowerment in simple words is to make women empowered enough so that they can take their own decisions in any field by providing them a promising environment where they find opportunity equivalent to that of men. Empowering women is to provide them equal opportunities.
However, day by day, the world is transcending to a modernized & a broad-mindedly adorned path, some of the acts and schemes have been passed and regulated by our govt. viz. (Dowry Prohibition Act 1961, Maternity Benefit Act, 1961, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme and many other quintessential and iconoclastic efforts made by the govt. and institutions running for improvised status of the girls in the society but all these steps are going to be a fiasco until these are not implemented to the thinking of the society as well, because it’s the chain of thoughts that begets the character of the person and make him capable enough to respect and appreciate women as they constitute half of the present population and play a majestic role in the well-defined development of the country which not only counts the economic status but the healthy thoughts, well being and an overall optimistic personality of its population as well and we all know that our future generation is going to follow the same direction their mothers will show them.
In schools, there must be a particular class to teach boys the moral values to bring out their proper endeavour and the girls must be taught about their self-importance and to stand for their opinions and goals affirmatively. In public institutions, there is a desperate need to vanish all the prejudice and insecurities faced by women. In families, women need to be aware of their rights and seek for the help provided by the various organizations instead of letting go and enduring all the deplorable situations created by their own family members or any outsider.
Conclusively, to be conversant about the Women Empowerment thoroughly, a saying by Plato makes the most of it which says “If women are expected to do the same work as men, we must teach them the same things.”
